Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch; Part LXXIV

We had a wonderful Christmas season here at Kindred Spirits Farm!

How can you not have fun with this group?

Orchid looks very winsome and adorable in this photo...

but this is more what she usually looks like-she is a licking freak lol!

Of course the Yorkies got their own Christmas...

Gussie is braver than Orchid and explored first...

but they both got scared when he knocked the first bag over...

but they smelled that drool-worth PetSmart smell, and explored further...

Finally Gus figured it out and got one of the toys out...

so Orchid thought about giving it a try...

but Gus beat her to it...

AND hogged all the toys lol!

In other news, the teen was happy with her Christmas...

and Giant and I got appropriately sized gifts of chocolate lol!

The goats always have to wait until Christmas is over to get their gift...Goats LOVE to eat pine trees!

The babies weren't too sure what all the tree fuss was about...

but they wandered over to check it out...

better hurry up baby goats and get in there, or the adults will eat it all!

The babies finally figured it out and got their fair share of Christmas tree...Merry Christmas goaties!

The weather has been so nice and warm that the bees came out-this is the bucket of corn that I feed the Chicken Littles in the back garden-the girls are busy collecting tiny traces of pollen from it...

so we made them some sugar water to drink-we can't open the hive because it's too cold, but judging from the amount of activity around the chickens and pigs corn, and the bees we can see flying in and out of the hive, they seem to be doing well so far...fingers x-ed!

This poor girl didn't make it back into the hive in time and froze on this stick, poor thing! I brought her into the house, stick and all for a future art project.

Seems like 2013 just started, and it's already behind us!

Here's to good old times, and fabulous new times...can't wait to see all the wonderful things 2014 has in store! Happy New Year and happytrails!
