He's Got Game, It's Just Really Creepy Fowl Doings

Spring has sprung and a young pheasants fancy has turned to thoughts of love again...

in other words, the male pheasant is hounding the poor female pheasant mercilessly lol! He's extremely beautiful, but also extremely creepy; his call of love is a disturbing low hissing sound, and he kind of slithers around in a creepy way!

This poor Americana hen just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...

the female pheasant tried to hide behind her...

but the chicken wanted no part of it and went and hid inside the coop...

After chasing the pheasant hen around and hissing at her for a while, the male inexplicably goes into the coop...

maybe to blow off steam? lol!

and jumps up...
onto the indoor perch...
stomps back and forth a few times,
then jumps back down...

and paces around inside the coop, then

jumps back up to the perch...

and then back down...over & over again...even though he's handsome,  he's very mentally unstable, maybe that's why the hen wants nothing at all to do with him lol!

In other chicken news, the hens are very happy that it's spring; even though it's hard to tell with the snow on the ground lol! There's still worms and stuff stirring around in the ground that they can eat, yum!

See the black hen with her back to us just to the right of Beetle dog? I have an essential oil miracle story to share on the next installment of Fowl Doings...so stay tuned, and happytrails!
