Broody is Hobbled Yet Maintans Her Zen Fowl Doings

So I finally got a shot of the new Americauna rooster from both sides...here's the red wing side...

and the other wing has a couple of long silver feathers...very cool!

Broody is down to 5 chicks...3 of them drowned in the goats water tank...so I got rid of the big goat tank and am watering them in those round rubber pans...which means their water isn't on a heater, so it freezes all the time, so I have to carry hot water from the house down to the goats every day...lots of work to keep those chicks alive lol!

Broody got some baling twine stuck on her legs, like a little Broody hobble, so we had to catch her and get the twine off...

The twine was wrapped around her legs pretty good, but we finally got it all off and she was good as new...

It was the first time Broody had ever been handled since she was a teeny tiny little chick, coming up on four springs ago...

she was a total trooper and didn't panic or thrash around at all. I love this picture of her, it just illustrates her Zen Broody-ness! Until next time, happytrails!
